If you’re looking for something to do in your Volkswagen in October, then look no further than the inaugural 2019 Chattanooga MotorCar Festival. This festival, which is about a five-hour drive from us Gossett VW Porsche, is a multi-day celebration of classic and historic vehicles — making it the ideal destination for your weekend away.
From Oct. 11-13, head to downtown Chattanooga to check out some of the most beautiful vehicles in the state. The festival, which is sponsored by Volkswagen, will have a “Between the Bridges” time trial, a concours d’elegance, a road rally, and a wide range of family-friendly activities.
It will also have a range of guests, including Brian Redman, a British endurance racing legend; Wayne Carini, a master car restorer; Donald Osborne, a frequent Jay Leno’s Garage guest; and car-collecting expert Keith Martin.
“Since 2011, our Chattanooga assembly plant has been building Volkswagen products for Americans in America, and the city occupies a special place in our hearts,” said Scott Keogh, CEO and President, Volkswagen Group of America. “We are pleased to sponsor this event benefitting the Chattanooga Erlanger Neuroscience Institute — the region’s only certified academic Neuroscience Center — and be a part of doing Something Bigger for the community there.”
Currently, Volkswagen of American has invested over $2.5 billion in Chattanooga’s economy, expanding the plant to offer more than 3,800 jobs in Tennessee. To learn more about Volkswagen’s great lineup, visit the showroom at Gossett Volkswagen.
