For the first time, TIME has announced a list of what it’s deemed to be the 100 Most Influential Companies across the globe. The inaugural TIME100 list includes companies and individuals like Reese Witherspoon, K-pop entertainment group HYBE, the NBA, and the Roblox online gaming platform. Also on that prestigious list is Volkswagen, which was included for its leadership in the automotive world.
“I’m honored that TIME chose to recognize the work thousands of Volkswagen employees around the world are doing to lead our industry and address global warming,” said Scott Keogh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Volkswagen Group of America. “The launch of the electric ID.4 SUV has shown that Americans are ready to embrace electric driving with exciting, innovative vehicles priced right for the market. We want to make the electric future a reality now.”
TIME looked to industry experts from technology, health care, and more — as well as its own network of correspondents and editors — to compile the comprehensive list. Each organization was evaluated on factors like ambition, innovation, impact, leadership, and relevance. Volkswagen’s commitment to being a carbon-neutral business by 2050 strongly contributed to the automaker being on the list.
Our team at Gossett Volkswagen is always excited to hear about VW getting praised. We look forward to contributing to that success in the future.
